Cornhole
These cornhole sets were made as Christmas gifts, I initially was making only one set for my own family, but was commissioned to make more for two other families. I ended up making six cornhole boards! I made these to be very heavy duty and weather resistant, but also wanted them to look like a piece of fine furniture. They were constructed with 3/4” Birch plywood, and reinforced with sections of MDF. For weather resistance, all joints were caulked, the undersides were painted with 3 coats of outdoor latex paint, and the outside was coated with several layers of high gloss Spar Urethane.

I taped off an area of the boards and used a dark walnut gel stain on the un-taped areas to create an arrow design leading to the hole

Several top coats of UV and weather resistant high gloss spar urethane and the cornhole sets are done and ready to be delivered!
